Well, the event I would like to talk about is the 80th anniversary of the founding of my high school. It was a huge celebration taking place on that campus in the autumn of 2020.
I can well remember that it was held on 6th October when we were on the National Day Holiday and all the alumni were available then to take part in the activities. Basically all the previous students and faculty members who once studied at this school were invited to that celebration, and a lot of my schoolmates gathered on the campus to spend that day together. The school celebration committee prepared some souvenirs for participants, and we enjoyed some programs which show the history of the school and reflect the culture of our campus. Walking around on the campus, we reunited with a number of beloved teachers and schoolmates, and we recalled together the sweet memories we had when we were teenagers. Actually, it was not only an anniversary of our school, but also an opportunity for us to meet each other for the first time after graduation.
When we were able to chat with each other in that familiar surrounding, it felt like we were back to high school days, and I was undoubtedly delighted and cheerful. I do hope that we could have celebrations of this kind to reunite with teachers and schoolmates every now and then.
